Daniela Mele - Principal Investigator
Associate professor at Dipartimento di Scienze della.Terra e Geoambientali. Her research activity is centred on the themes of physical volcanology, with particular reference to the processes and products of explosive eruptions and with the aim of both understanding eruptive mechanisms and contributing, with quantitative estimations, to the definition of the damage scenarios associated with volcanic hazards.

Silvia Rainò
Associate professor at Dipartimento Interateneo di Fisica "M. Merlin". Her research activity is focused on topics related to the experimental physics of fundamental interactions, with extensive experience in the field of ionizing radiation detection, in particular for Astroparticle Physics experiments (Fermi-LAT and CTA). In this field she has given an important personal contribution to the design, construction and test of X-ray and gamma-ray detectors. She has worked on the simulation, development and testing of scintillation detectors (NaI, CsI) and photodetectors (PMT and SiPM) for X-rays and gamma rays aimed at environmental radioactivity monitoring and space applications
Tiziana Lanciano
Associate professor at Department of Education, Psychology, Communitation. Her research activity is centered on the themes of risk perception, by focusing on the role of emotional and cognitive processes on decision making, risk-related judgments, and risk-taking choices. The aim of her research activity is to understand and assess how people subjectively perceive and respond to risks.

Raffaella Patimo
Assistant Professor of Labour Economics and European Economic Integration at University of Bari; she holds BA and PhD from University of Bari, and MA in European Economic Studies at College of Europe. She has been Fulbright Distinguished Scholar at University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA and a Fellow at European Studies Center at the same University. She has also been visiting professor for in Albania, Czech Republic and Poland and has taught labor economics and EU economic integration in other European countries. Since 2021 she has been Coordinator for UniBa of the Erasmus Mundus Economics of Globalization and European Integration Master. Her main research interests rest with labor market performance and decision and EU economic issues on a gender based perspective.

Roberta Piazza, PhD in Education, is full professor in Adult Education at the University of Catania, Italy. She is vice president of the School for Teachers training of the University of Catania and member of the scientific committee of RUIAP (Network of Italian Universities for Lifelong Learning) (https://www.ruiap.it/). She was vice-Rector for Continuing education and lifelong learning (2017-2019). She was director of the University Research Centre on Community Engagement - CURE (Community University Research Engagement), Associate director in Europe of PASCAL Observatory (Place management, Social Capital and Learning Region, www.pascalobservatory.org) (from 2014), she is also European Network Coordinator of the Research Network 4 "National Strategies for Lifelong Learning" dell’ASEM Education and Research Hub for Lifelong Learning (ASEM LLL Hub) (http://asemlllhub.org/researchnetworks/nationalstrategies/rn4members/). She is member of the Scientifical Committee of Lucca city (Italy), UNESCO Learning city. She has participated in several EU-funded projects on learning city, lifelong learning, recognition of prior learning, easy to read language.
